None at all. Every case comes with a briefing that sets up the story and explains the objective. We've designed our cases for curious minds, not trained investigators. That said, seasoned puzzle lovers will enjoy the harder difficulty tiers.

Most cases take between 2–5 hours depending on difficulty. You can pause and return at any time — the evidence isn't going anywhere. Some players spread their investigation over several evenings.

Both work beautifully. Solo play is immersive and intense — it's just you and the evidence. Group play (2–4 people) adds debate, disagreement, and shared discovery. Your call, Detective.

Yes. A solution guide is included with every case — sealed in a separate file. Try re-reading the suspect transcripts and cross-referencing the evidence before opening it. Fresh eyes after a short break often crack the case.

We recommend 1–4 players for the best experience. More than 4 tends to split focus and reduce individual engagement. For larger groups or team events, consider running multiple cases in parallel.

Absolutely — and we encourage it. The PDF is formatted for standard A4 printing. For the best experience, print in colour. Most players print and cut out the evidence cards for a more tactile investigation.

Both work. You can print the documents for a hands-on experience, or load the PDFs on a tablet and play entirely screen-based. Most players enjoy a mix: key evidence printed out, reference docs on screen.

The case is a one-time mystery — once you know the answer, the suspense is gone. That said, the PDF is yours to keep. Many customers gift it to a friend or family member after solving it themselves.

Because digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned", we generally do not offer refunds on downloads. However, if there's a technical issue with your file or it's corrupted, contact us and we'll resolve it immediately.
